Mark Jones
Helping new and developing trumpet players build skill, confidence, and a love for music.
I hold Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Trumpet Performance from the University of Michigan. I have taught trumpet to students ranging from beginners to undergraduate music majors at colleges and universities. After taking a break from teaching, I’ve recently returned to the trumpet and am excited to work with students and adults who are interested in learning to play the instrument.
In the past, I have performed with the Jackson, Ann Arbor, Flint, and Battle Creek symphonies in Michigan, as well as with the Milwaukee Ballet, the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato, and the Mississippi Symphony. My approach to trumpet development combines a strong focus on musicianship with solid technical fundamentals.
